The 2020 Jeep Wrangler - Specs, Performance, Review

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler says "adventure" from start to finish. Thanks to legendary off-road performance and modern, refined interior, the 2020 Wrangler easily handles a day at the lake or a night on the town without breaking a sweat. Jeep makes eleven editions of the 2020 Wrangler, ranging from the base Sport model to the top-of-the-line Unlimited Rubicon.

Styling

Oversized tires, a raked grille, and classic Jeep design deliver a "ready for anything" exterior style. The new Wrangler also features a removable roof, fold-down windshield, and large front and rear steel bumpers. A rear-mounted full-size spare tire comes on all versions of the new Wrangler.

Drivetrain and Capability

Jeep offers all Wrangler editions with a choice of two different engines - a 2.0L I-4 DOHC Direct-Injection Turbocharged engine or a 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6. Both power plants come with fuel-saving Engine Stop/Start (ESS) Technology. Pentastar V-6 buyers also have the option to swap out the ESS technology for Jeep's eTorque technology. Transmission choices include an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual. Every new Wrangler comes standard with legendary Jeep 4x4 capability.

Interior and Safety Features

All Wrangler models feature Chrysler's UConnect infotainment system. The UConnect system handles all facets of the Jeep's entertainment and connectivity features, as well as many other vehicle functions. With the appropriate app, the UConnect system also lets Wrangler owners remotely start, lock, and unlock their vehicles from just about anywhere. Advanced standard safety technologies found on every Wrangler trim include Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control with Hill Start Assist, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control, and a ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera. Excluding base S trims, all models also come with an alarm system and automatic headlamps.
