For 2021, Wrangler buyers have two extra powertrain options. The 4xe model is the first Wrangler to boast a hybrid powertrain, while the Rubicon trim is now available with a mighty V8 engine cranking out an impressive 470 horsepower.
Looks and Design
From the first glance at the exterior, it's clear that the Wrangler is a Jeep through and through. There are no sleek curves or fancy embellishments here: it's a vehicle that's designed specifically for a tough life away from the pavement. But that's not to say the Wrangler is unattractive, with Jeep softening the traditional angles a little to make the profile more modern.
Under-the-Hood Performance
Aside from the new hybrid and high-performance powertrain options, there are two other powerful engines available. As standard, a 3.6L V6 makes 285 horsepower, fed to all-wheel drive via a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic.
Diesel fans will love the 3.0L V6 turbodiesel that pumps out 422lb-ft of torque, making short work of the most challenging terrains.
Add in the hybrid and V8 options, and the 2021 Jeep Wrangler has performance capabilities to suit every level.
Infotainment and Technology
When you buy a Wrangler, you have a choice about how much cabin tech you want or need. The base trim now features a rugged, no-frills experience that's light on infotainment options. A 7" or 8.4" touchscreen to the mix, offering smartphone integration and advanced navigation features is now standard for the Premium trims.
Safety Features
