    In an increasingly crowded SUV market, the 2021 Jeep Compass offers something a little different. In style it's similar to a scaled-down version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, offering a confident, off-road-ready profile that's missing from a lot of compact SUVs.

    But it combines that easy confidence with plenty of interior comforts too, making it perfect for everyday driving as well as weekend adventuring. Here's what to expect from the 2021 Compass for sale at our Strathroy location.


    What's New for 2021?

    Jeep's vehicles always offer a strong suite of active safety features, but for the 2021 Compass they've upped the ante with improved driver assist features across the entire range. There's also a special 80th Anniversary Edition trim, which includes high-end features at an attractive lower price.

    Compact Car, Extensive Power

    Under the hood, the 2021 Compass boasts a standard 2.4L 4-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower and 175lb-ft of torque. Choose front-wheel drive and you'll also get a six-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive option is supplied with a nine-speed auto box.

    The all-wheel drive option also benefits from the powerful Selec-Terrain traction system, which optimizes power distribution to each wheel individually for excellent handling in snow, rain, mud, sand, and more.

    Interior Tech

    Jeep may be famous for their cars' off-road capabilities, but the Compass is supplied with a range of interior tech to match any city slicker SUV. Every model features a 7" or 8.4" infotainment touchscreen powered by the highly regarded Uconnect software. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity are provided as standard, while advanced built-in navigation is an optional extra.

    For audio fans, the standard six-speaker multimedia option can be replaced by a high-end nine-speaker Alpine sound system, either as an option or standard on higher trims.

    Active Safety Features

    As mentioned, the Compass's range of active safety and driver assist features has been improved for 2021. New standard and available highlights include:

    Adaptive cruise control with stop-go function.

    • Full-speed forward collision warnings with emergency braking mitigation and avoidance.
    • Blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts.
    • Lane departure warnings and lane keeping assistance.
