This year, Dodge has decided that it will no longer produce the Grand Caravan. If you are like millions of other Canadians that love this family vehicle, then fear not, the Grand Caravan is not dead. Instead, it will now be manufactured by Chrysler and is more impressive than ever before.
What's New on the 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan
Even though the Grand Caravan is not a new vehicle, as we mentioned before, this is the first time that it is being manufactured by Chrysler. Therefore, it is technically the first generation. There are several features that were brought over from its predecessor's design. However, there are also a few exciting new things in store for this vehicle. For instance, there are two different versions of the Grand Caravan: the basic model and the SXT model.
Technology and Safety Updates
The Grand Caravan has a bold and stylish exterior design. The body is wide and tall, yet also sporty and athletic. The sculpted hood slopes down towards the newly designed front grille that features a bold Chrysler badge and is flanked by two bright headlights. The standard 17-inch wheels are offered in two different stylish designs.
The interior features three rows of spacious seating that can accommodate up to eight people. In the second row, the middle seat can be folded down to unveil a secret cupholder, storage bin, or armrest. The Stow 'n Go seats allow you to fold down the seats and hide them away when they are not needed. When the seats are being occupied, you can use the under-the-floor storage compartments to store your items.
When it comes to technology, there is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity options. There is also a standard 6-speaker sound system that allows every occupant to hear their favourite song. There is also an available rear entertainment system that features a large overhead monitor and a DVD player.
The 2021 Grand Caravan comes with a wide range of standard safety features including an advanced airbag system, electronic stability control, and a reverse camera. Some of the other features that you can find on both Grand Caravan models include:

• Tire Pressure Monitor System
• Electronic Park Brake with Safe Hold
• 4-Wheel Anti-Lock Brake
Under the Hood
This year, there is only one engine offered on this impressive vehicle. The Grand Caravan comes standard with a 3.6-litre V6 engine that is able to deliver 287 horsepower. The powerful engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. With this combination, the powertrain is not only strong, but it is also fuel-efficient.
